Medidata invites you to join a select group of executives for a multi-dimensional summit where industry leaders will gain inspiration, information and insights into the issues that will drive the future returns of the Life Sciences industry.

Naples, Florida

Let’s face it; the forces of change readily apparent in the life sciences industry are leading to the renovation of conventional business models and are at times presenting unclear commercial potential. Industry focus, process, productivity and risk tolerance are all being tested while the crescendo of patient centricity and superior therapeutic outcome builds. But rather than a dome of doom and gloom, a new type of dialog is required to truly think big and capitalize on the opportunities afforded by bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics and metabolic insights. And that’s exactly why we are launching the Medidata Executive Summit – an exclusive, global forum for senior business leaders that serves as a catalyst for this very discussion. This event will feature academia, industry consortia, foundations and think tanks joining researchers, manufacturers, payers, providers and regulators towards establishing a new life science ecosystem. With the guiding principal of “by industry, for industry”, the gathering seeks to uncover new ways of thinking and working together via the sharing of orthogonal perspectives, the experiences of early adopters and the views of the technology pioneers that are helping create a new era of innovation.

This year’s theme is Deep Data and the utilization of machine learning, artificial intelligence, telematics, sensors and mobile technologies to uncover, structure, synthesize and model the door of opportunity it opens towards the realization of personalized and precision healthcare. Facilitated by a group of industry luminaries and thought leaders, we aim to mix conversation insight, provocation and real-world lessons with a dose of magnificent landscape, location, food and wine towards developing a lasting community of industry pioneers who all share the view that biology is the information technology of the century.  We hope you will join us.

Tarek Sharif, CEO and Glen de Vries, President
Medidata Solutions

The Medidata Executive Summit is the life science industry’s premier event for presidents and chief executive officers as well as heads of research and development, therapeutic areas, strategy and innovation, data science, pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research.  It’s an exclusive, invitation-only two-day executive forum that provides leaders with an unparalleled opportunity to network with peers, participate in substantive discussions, engage with thought leaders and gain critical information from industry pioneers. This year’s inaugural event will concentrate on how precision medicine and personalized healthcare will be powered by deep data, predictive analytics, machine learning and industry benchmarking.

The role of deep data and deep learning techniques in targeted discovery, indications findings, on/off target detection, adverse events and comparative effectiveness research.

How machine learning and predictive analytics can speed the discovery and synthesis of bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics and metabolic insights into the Life Science Industry.

The increasing importance of inter and intra company benchmarking when evaluating commercial performance, productivity, operational excellence and effectiveness.

Why the democratization of artificial intelligences, imaging, 3d printing, telematics, ingestibles, sensors and mobile phones will affect future drug discovery, clinical trial configuration and pharmacoeconomic research.

Lessons from the leaders; the deep data initiatives that drove changes in company focus, innovation, process, productivity and risk tolerance in the travel and hospitality, finance and insurance, retail and consumer packaged goods sectors.
